Tokachi Millennium Forest

Tokachi Millennium Forest was established on the idea of carbon offset, an environmental conservation activity.

The unique gardens inspired by the rich natural environment show the new garden culture of the northland to the world. The gardens age as time passes and are of a scale that matches the northland. They cordially receive visitors and introduce them to the surrounding nature.

The Earth Garden and Meadow Garden won the Grand Award and the International Award of the Society of Garden Designers in 2012.

The Crossing

The Crossing Dan Pearson

"The passage from one environment to the next" is the theme of the garden. Walk the garden and feel connected with nature, and find even greater nature further away.

Spring starts after the long winter of the northland with the blooming of wild flowers on the forest floor. In summer, colorful flowers spread across the Meadow Garden and the Rose Gardens. In autumn, flowers produce ornamental seed heads, and harvest season comes in the Kitchen Garden.
